This four-minute video includes excerpts from magazine features on topics ranging from video soldiers in Chiapas to the life and legacy of Robert Frost. Both the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine and Vermont magazine published in-depth articles examining the contentious legacy of Frost. I also wrote features for Yankee magazine and the Boston Business Journal on the growing industry of agri-tourism in the Northeast. In 1999, I traveled to Chiapas, Mexico, and wrote about a Canadian group that was teaching indigenous farmers how to use video cameras to collect evidence of harassment, exploitation and torture at the hands of the military and state police. I also worked with Preservation, the magazine of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, to chronicle the loss of Filipino culture in Stockton, California, and report on threats to a historic area in downtown Port Townsend, Washington.
